We can announce that the winner of the U.S Sudoku Championship was Tammy McLeod of Los Angeles, California. Mc Leod solved the advanced puzzle in a time of 7 mintues and 41 seconds and took home the cash prize of $10,000. As the winner of the tournament she also earned a spot in the U.S World Sudoku Team.
Winner in the beginner divsion was Natan Tsyrulnik of Shelton, Connecticut, and took home $1,000. Davis Borucki of Columbia, South Carolina, took the first spot in the intermediate division was also a happy winner to the $3,000 awarded.

It is time again for the 2009 Sudoku National Championships. It will take place Oct. 24 at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia. This is the largest Sudoku competition in the U.S. Hosting the event for the third time is the Philadelphia Inquirer.
