				<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The 4th Philippine Sudoku Super Challenge finals was held at the end of last month. The winner of the Grandmaster category was Sarah Jane Cua, a 15-year-old high school student at</p>
<p>the Pangasinan Universal Institute. The first prize was 60,000 pesos, which converts to about 1,285 USD.</p>
<p>Sarah have been competing in many other sudoku events and have also won the <span>2008 Brand’s Asia-Pacific Sudoku Championships in Singapore.</span></p>
<p>That´s a good start of the sudoku year for her. Congrats and god luck in future events!</p>

				<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>We can announce that the winner of the U.S Sudoku Championship was Tammy McLeod of Los Angeles, California. Mc Leod solved the advanced puzzle in a time of 7 mintues and 41 seconds and took home the cash prize of $10,000. As the winner of the tournament she also earned a spot in the U.S World Sudoku Team.</p>
<p>Winner in the beginner divsion was Natan Tsyrulnik of Shelton, Connecticut, and took home $1,000. Davis Borucki of Columbia, South Carolina, took the first spot in the intermediate division was also a happy winner to the $3,000 awarded.</p>

It will take place Oct. 24 at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia. <p>$25,000 in cash prizes will be awarded, as well as the opportunity to represent the United States at the 2010 World Sudoku Championship in Philadelphia.</p>
